Led design on a new AI-powered stats and insights initiative at GameChanger, currently in development for 750,000 teams. I shipped custom LLM features that turn raw game data into coaching insights for youth, club, and high school teams.

Post-game team insights

After every game, coaches get an AI-generated summary of what happened and why. Offense and defense are broken out separately, each with plain-language bullet points grounded in real play-by-play data. The summaries call out key moments, win probability shifts, and patterns worth paying attention to in practice. A feedback prompt at the bottom lets coaches rate each insight, which feeds directly back into the model.

Individual player insights

Coaches can drill into any player on the roster and see a per-game breakdown: stat card, AI-written scouting notes, season trends, and milestone tracking. The scouting notes highlight things like lineup position performance and pitch selection tendencies. Milestones mark firsts (first start at shortstop, first RBI) so coaches and parents can celebrate the moments that matter at the youth level.

Pre-game settings

Before first pitch, coaches and scorekeepers confirm their game setup: clock rules, pitch tracking preferences, lineup status, and whether to display defensive innings. The "Ready to start?" screen gives a quick summary of everything that's been configured, with one tap to edit game settings if something needs to change. Built for tournament play, where books change hands and rules shift between events.

Defensive innings played

A positional grid showing who's played where and for how long across the season. On mobile, the flow walks coaches through batting, pitching, and fielding stats with a filter to surface innings played. On desktop, the full grid is visible at a glance with highlighted cells calling out primary positions. Essential for development teams trying to rotate players fairly and find the right positional fit.
